Product Description

Often referred to as “Liquid Gold,” Argan oil is cold-pressed from the kernels of the Argania spinosa tree, endemic to Morocco. This rare oil is celebrated for its exceptional balance of Oleic (Omega-9) and Linoleic (Omega-6) fatty acids, which provide intense hydration while supporting the skin’s structural integrity. Argan oil is particularly rich in Squalene, a lipid that mimics the skin’s natural sebum, and Schottenol, a rare plant sterol known for its skin-regenerating properties. Its high concentration of natural Vitamin E (gamma-tocopherol) acts as a potent biological antioxidant, neutralizing free radicals and significantly reducing the appearance of fine lines and scars. In professional hair care, it is a gold standard for taming frizz and restoring shine, as it penetrates the hair shaft to increase elasticity and protect against thermal damage from styling tools

Formulation Guidelines

• Argan oil is relatively stable but performs best when treated with care. It is recommended to add it during the cool-down phase (below 45°C) to protect its rare sterols and vitamin content, though it can withstand short-term exposure to the oil phase heat (up to 60°C).
• It serves as an excellent “bridging” oil in formulations, helping to marry heavier butters with lighter oils for a superior skin feel.
• Due to its balanced fatty acid profile, it offers a longer shelf life but the addition of 0.1% Vitamin E (Tocopherol) is still advised to maintain peak freshness in commercial products.

Safety Guidelines

• Intended for external cosmetic application.
• Individuals with severe nut allergies should perform a patch test first.
• Store in a cool, dark place. Argan oil is light-sensitive and should be kept in amber or cobalt glass to prevent degradation.
