Product Description

Golden Rosehip oil is a prestigious “active” carrier oil cold-pressed from the seeds of the Rosa canina (or Rosa rubiginosa) bush. It is renowned for its high content of Pro-vitamin A (mainly beta-carotene) and Tretinoin (all-trans retinoic acid), which gives it its famous ability to accelerate cellular regeneration and repair damaged tissue. Unlike many heavier oils, it is exceptionally rich in both Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, making it a “dry” oil that sinks into the dermis to treat hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and sun damage without leaving a greasy film. Its deep golden hue is a testament to its high carotenoid content, which provides powerful antioxidant protection against environmental stressors. Formulation Guidelines

• Rosehip oil is extremely delicate and prone to rapid oxidation. It must be added during the cool-down phase (ideally below 40°C) to prevent the degradation of its heat-sensitive vitamins and fatty acids.
• Exposure to high heat will not only destroy its nutritive value but can also cause it to develop an unpleasant “fishy” odor.
• To extend its shelf life, it is essential to include an antioxidant like Vitamin E (Tocopherol) at 0.2%–0.5%.
• Because it is a “thin” oil, it is often blended with more stable lipids like Jojoba to create a more robust and long-lasting formulation.

Safety Guidelines

• Intended for external application; avoid ingestion.
• Its Vitamin A content can make skin more sensitive; always recommend daytime sun protection when using rosehip-heavy products.
• Store in a cool, dark place. Once opened, it is best used within 6–9 months unless refrigerated.
